Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your email address, display name, and encrypted password.

Health & Usage Data: We collect data you voluntarily provide, including weight, age, gender, height, calorie logs, food photos, meal records, and fitness goals. This data is used solely to provide and personalize the service.

Device & Log Data: We automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and usage analytics to improve performance and fix bugs.

Camera & Photos: We request camera and photo library access only to let you scan meals. Food photos are processed by our AI servers and are not used for any other purpose.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

• Supabase — secure cloud database hosting
• OpenAI — food image analysis (images processed, not stored by OpenAI)
• Google Analytics / Firebase — anonymous usage analytics
• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management
• Apple / Google — as required by App Store / Play Store policies

We require all service providers to maintain appropriate security standards and prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@kcalaitracker.app. Data will be deleted within 30 days of your request.

kCal AI is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take immediate steps to delete it.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; withdraw consent; opt out of marketing communications; and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
